No Worship Service ~ December 21st

This coming Sunday, December 21st, we will not be having worship service.  Some of our families will be gather elsewhere this week.  May the Lord bless you and your family wherever you worship.

We look forward to everyone gathering together for the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:00PM on Wednesday, December 24th at the Stratford Senior Center.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service ~ December 24th

Greetings!

We will be celebrating the birth of Christ with a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at the Stratford Senior Center on Wednesday, December 24th at 5:00 PM.   There will be singing, special instrumental music, and a short devotional.  All meant to point our hearts towards Christ and rejoice in His birth!  You are encouraged to bring along friends and family.

In honor of this special occasion, we are encouraging folks to bring out their holiday best and dress accordingly.  If you have formal wear, please feel free to wear it.  (Of course this is optional, having you join us is more important than what you are wearing.)

*If anyone in your family would like to participate in the service through song, instrumental or recitation, please contact the Elliott family ASAP.  All are welcome to share their gifts and talents for God's glory!

The Candlelight Christmas Eve service is expected to last about an hour.  We hope that you and your loved ones will be able to join us!

Caroling & Fellowship ~ December 14th

This coming Sunday, December 14th, we will NOT be having a morning worship service.  We will be gathering in the afternoon for Christmas Caroling in Ada with a fellowship to follow at the Elliott Home.

We will be breaking up into smaller groups and going from room to room.  There will be a time of singing, along with handing out cards and a small gift to all of the residents.

We will be eating at 6:00PM.  Please bring TWO appetizers/finger foods and ONE dessert to share.  A short devotional, games and delightful fellowship will follow the meal.  

*If anyone in your family would like to participate in a group playing for the Christmas Candlelight service, please bring your instruments to the fellowship.  A few minutes will be set aside during the evening to help coordinate and prepare the musicians for the service on December 24th. Thank you!

Worship Service ~ December 7th

We will be meeting this coming Sunday, December 7th, at the Elliott Home at 10:30 AM.  We be watching the "What Pride Does" DVD from Anger series by S. M. Davis that we began last month. There will be a potluck following the service. Lord willing, you will be able to join us on Sunday.

December 14th ~ We will be having a worship service at the Senior Center but NOT having potluck.  In the afternoon, we will be Christmas Caroling at an assisted living center in Ada followed by an evening of fellowship and food at the Elliott's house.  Details to come next week.

The will be no worship service this coming Sunday, November 23rd.  Our sweet fellowship will take a family day of rest after a busy weekend filled with the wedding celebration of Hattie & Chance.  We will look forward to gathering together to worship on November 30th.

Recently the Senior Center was updated and repaired...inside and outside.  We want to encourage everyone to take extra care in how we treat the new & improved facility.  PLEASE help us in encouraging all the children to refrain from playing in the landscape areas, especially the rock garden in the front of the building.  If you see a child in that area or doing something that may cause damage to the Senior Center, PLEASE take the opportunity to instruct them towards righteousness and ask them to stop.  Thank you!

Our worship service for this coming Sunday, October 12th, has been CANCELED.  The local LifePoint Church will be hosting a community service project at the Senior Center that day.  Some of our fellowship plans to help out. This veteran homeschool family (of Titus2.com) encourages and challenges in the areas of dynamic children, a unified family, a dad’s leadership, smooth days for Mom, and so much more. Join them for this energizing evening for the entire family filled with practical encouragement in the Lord Jesus! Three years ago we had great interest and lots of cooperation from many homeschool groups for the conference but many didn't get to attend because of the rampant statewide wildfires that day (remember that? So this will be a real blessing for many who enjoy their teaching. And it will be a pleasant encounter for those not yet familiar with their teaching. Our first encounter was a one night conference about 4 years ago and they have helped us so much since then.

Stratford Peach Festival ~ July 19th

This coming Saturday is the Stratford Peach Festival.  If you have never been to the Peach Festival and visited the Burnett family's booth, you are missing out.  They sell the best tasting homemade peach and vanilla ice creams, along with delicious refreshing peach tea.  There will be lots of family entertainment and things to see.  We encourage you to come support the Burnett family by visiting them at the Peach Festival this Saturday, July 19th...and if you hope to try their ice cream, you better plan on coming early.  They sell out fast!

The Dornink Baby Has Arrived!

With great joy and rejoicing, we are excited to share that Dustin and Hannah's baby has arrived and it's a BOY!

Evan Trust Dornink was delivered via c-section on Thursday, June 19th at 8:52 PM. He weighed 7lbs 15oz and measured 21"long upon his safe arrival. What a blessing!

Hannah and Baby Evan are doing great and are now home. Reports from Evan's proud grandparents, aunts and uncles are that he is VERY cute and that Hannah looks great! 

So happy or the Burnett and Dornink families! We praise God for the many answered prayers!

Free Puppies!

We have been blessed with an abundance of darling puppies who are now ready for new homes! They are 5 weeks old (born 4/15/14) and are super cute.

The mama is part Chihuahua, Pug & Beagle and the father is a Queensland Healer. A strange mix to say the least! They will be smaller dogs, and if they are anything like their mom, they will be very sweet! 

We have two solid black short hair females, a black and white short hair male, and this precious fluffy hair female below. If Mr. Elliott would have let his lovely wife keep her as she had wanted to, her name would have been Betty and she would have been dearly loved. But it was not meant to be, so now "Betty" is looking for a home too!

Hannah's Baby Shower

This is just a quick reminder that there is a Baby Shower for Hannah Dornink this coming Thursday, May 22nd, at the Mount's home.  (Please check the "Events" at the top for more details.)  What a blessing to gather together to celebrate the gift of life!

Speakers Needed

As of now, we do not have any speakers scheduled for June or the months to come.  It would be wonderful if the men of our fellowship would please check their calendars to see when they will have opportunity to bring forth God's word to our congregation.  It is such a blessing to hear the men share their hearts and God's truths.

A Chance For [an opportunity to help]

For those who were asking, achancefor.com is the link for Heath Beachum's friend from Oklahoma who is currently walking across America.  Chance Stephens had taken on this endeavor to bring awareness to the plight of Human Trafficking, and especially of young girls in Nepal.  Chance has a heart for the Lord and to serve Him with his heart, mind, soul...and now his feet.

A Blog for Our Fellowship

The time has come for an "official" blog for our sweet fellowship. As of late, I have had lots of trouble getting the word out as to what we are all doing due to a variety of reasons.  To make sure no one is every left out, we now have a central location everyone can refer to and get the latest information.  It is our desire that this will be a blessing to everyone.
